KENZI EUROPA ALL INCLUSIVE
THE BEST RESORT FOR KIDS
Kenzi Europa, The Best Resort in Agadir For Kids. Yes… I know, we are a different kind of holiday-makers. We normally stay in bed and breakfasts and enjoy wild beaches more than pools. But this was a holiday outlined for the fun of our kids, so we thought we might as well offer them the best option available!
And we found it! The Kenzi Europa All Inclusive, in Agadir, Morocco is a 4-star hotel in a central position of the city. Right in front of the beach and less than 200 meters from the local zoo, it’s an ideal place for families with children.
The Facilities: Our kids went literally crazy for the three pools in the garden, two of them heated. The water games and water slides are safe as well as beautiful. But it does not end there. The hotel also offers a club for kids with activities running most of the day, including indoor games for rainy days (an oddity in Agadir).
Parents can also enjoy their free time playing tennis, doing water activities, going to the gym or simply getting revitalizing treatments in the spa. The bar offers cocktails that can be sipped by the swimming pool while enjoying the sun and the mild weather of the place.
If you are a beach kind of person, instead: no worries. Right in front of the hotel there is a private beach where you can sunbathe and relax. Take a swim, spend a peaceful day and then go back to the hotel to keep taking advantages of all the advantages it offers to its guests.
Inside the resort, you will also find a barber shop, a pharmacy, an ATM point and a store. Everything is easy. There’s even a business center for when you are – like me – in need of computers, printers and whatever it takes to go online and get work done!
A special part of it all is the staff, available and kind, always present to give you a hand and cater for all of your needs. The Customer Relations department takes all the credit! They are simply the best.
Comfort: The rooms are magnificent. Decorated in a vintage 60’s style, with huge comfortable beds, tables, seats and balconies (ours overlooking the beach!). Complimentary fresh fruit and water is waiting for you at your arrival.
Our rooms communicated, a quality quite difficult to find when traveling with kids. It gave us the privilege of privacy as well as the practical advantage of being close for those Mom I’m thirsty-middle-of-the-night calls.
All Inclusive and Entertainment: Last time we took an all-inclusive formula trip was ages ago. It is something I could easily get used to… Having an open bar with fresh juice, water or beer available at any hour is a convenient thing to enjoy from time to time.
Food is served almost continuously, the ample hours of the restaurant allow you to eat (and eat well) almost all day long! In the afternoon, the tea time is a feast for kids! Fresh made pancakes are the only thing that can make them wish a pause from the pool! You can accompany them with all kinds of hot drinks and are delicious.
The buffet is also interesting, it offers a variety of international and Moroccan cuisine, catering for all tastes. The cous cous and the tajine were superb! There is a good choice of deserts, a traditional berber man serving mint tea and we could even enjoy a fish barbecue in the garden the day we were leaving.
There is a good choice of simple, non sophisticated food for children. Fries, mashed potatoes, hamburgers spaghetti and meat balls. My kids were in paradise!
The morning breakfast was delicious, and so incredibly wide in choice that you could even go without eating till mid afternoon!
With the bar running long hours at night, it’s usual to see people gathering in the area after dinner, they host fun parties with dances and games which you can join or simply enjoy watching comfortably sitting at the bar while checking your-mails at the computer.
It was an experience we will always remember. When we travel we are always on the run, moving from one place to the other, lugging bags around, eating in local tiny places and backpacking on a different kind of budget. It was so nice to go for a different vacation, taking a break within the break.
The most difficult part of our trip was approaching (road trip to the desert); so this was a much-needed relax to get our energy to the top. It was pleasant to have your bags carried for once, have a super wide choice of food and plenty of fun activities to choose from at your disposal.
Yes, it might not be the kind of holiday The Tiny Book normally takes, but it will definitely be done again, it is so awesome to be cared for so well from time to time!
I want to thank dearly all the staff that did their best to make us feel at home. The people in the restaurant, at the pool and the reception. The animation team and Ibtissam, an amazingly kind woman, I had the pleasure to meet in person at the Kenzi. Basically, her job is to make you feel at home. And, honestly, it’s been a long time since I had been taken cared for in such a personal yet discrete way.
In full truth… I’d love to return!
