WHERE DINOS GET REAL
Dinosaurland: Dinos and Kids, a perfect match. It is no secret kids love dinosaurs. If you are a reader of this blog, it is also no secret our kids go mad about them! Today we are taking you to a place where the experience of meeting dinosaurs gets real!
A couple of years ago, we spent a whole day exploring the dinosaur section of the Natural History Museum in London. All kinds of fossils were welcome for the picture.
This year, instead, right before visiting the Sahara desert, we made a stop in Arfoud, Morocco, where the kids had fun discovering all about ammonites and trilobites. So if your kids as just as passionate about prehistoric times as ours, or if they simply adore watching films like Jurassic World, Dinosaurland is the place where first-hand experience mixes with fun, adventure and learning on the road.
Today I want to tell you a secret, one of the West’s biggest secrets in Northeastern Utah. It is called Dinosaurland, there adventure is as nowhere else in the World. Located in Uintah County, a place known for it’s many petroglyphs and pictographs. It’s one of the best places in America to observe prehistoric art.
Home to some of Utah’s most scenic canyons, rivers, and mountains, you will find more than 1,500 fossils encased in the fossil wall at Dinosaurland.
More features add to your visit: Spectacular scenic parks, as well as several options for accommodation; from campgrounds, to B+B’s, and hotels.
Dinosaur National Monument is an amazing place for children, it’s not a boring museum where you have to read signs and take pictures. Here you will find true adventure, the kind we really enjoy. It is the only site in the world where children actively interact with over 1,500 dinosaur bones and fossils. In fact, it is possible to view but also touch dinosaur bones where they were originally found!
In the Quarry Exhibit Hall, your kids will get to see famous Carnegie Dinosaur Quarry which houses these unique fossils, in the Quarry you will find Allosaurus, Stegosaurus, Apatosaurus, Diplodocus, and so many others. And the best part of all? Mom and dad do not need to worry or prepare the visit in advance. No, this time you do not have to know it all about dinos! There are Park Rangers available, knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions and give you extra facts about dinosaurs!
All about the 200,000-acre monument you will be able to find thousands of fossils; excavation and research never stop.
